Kara Edwards, a Long Island native, began her dance studies at the age of two at the Upper Room Christian Dance Academy of Dix Hills, NY, where she also began her teaching career under the direction of Mrs. Janet Campo. Kara’s strong passion for teaching young aspiring dancers has led her to become an educator across Long Island, NYC, and New Jersey. While studying to receive her BFA in Dance Studies form LIU Post, Kara became a member of Balasole Dance Company based in NYC. This being her first professional line of work as a dancer, Kara was honored to be featured in “Attitude: The Dancer’s Magazine” for her solo performance of Diamond in the Rough - a self-choreographed piece performed at the premier performance of the company. Since then, Kara has had the privilege of being featured in music videos for many different artists in the industry and perform in several musical theatre companies, promotional events, and choreographer festivals.
